Zing Tsjeng: The Female Heroes of History

Zing Tsjeng: The Female Heroes of History
30 September 2018
UK Editor of Broadly (the women’s website from VICE), Zing Tsjeng, was at Asia House on 27 September to discuss the Asian women who have made remarkable contributions to history but have been almost erased from record. Drawing from her Forgotten Women series of books, Tsjeng covered some of the writers, scientists, artists and writers that refused to accept the hand they were dealt and who deserve to be recognised for their achievements.
Broadly focuses on women’s issues and has been hailed as the ‘slickest feminist platform around’. Zing has debated at Telegraph Women events, appeared on Woman’s Hour, Late Night Woman’s Hour, BBC Radio 2 with Graham Norton, LBC, and written for ELLE, Dazed, The Guardian and BuzzFeed.
This event was held as part of the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival 2018.
