We are looking for Administrative Volunteers

Asia House has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer to support the general administration of the Arts and Learning department, and outward social media channels, and to play an important role in keeping the department’s administration up to date.

This is an exciting and dynamic role, which forms an important part of the Arts and Learning programme, including support to the Literature Programme Manager for the acclaimed 12th edition of the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival which will take place from 10 September 2018.

 

Outline of the role and benefits:

We are looking for a detail-orientated and committed person with strong communication skills who has the ability to assess and initiate things independently, and has an interest in Asian arts and culture.

As a volunteer, you will gain invaluable skills and experience in events and logistics management, marketing, data admin, and running an arts membership scheme, and contributing to making our programme a continued success while learning further key workplace skills.

– Exposure to an exciting array of arts and cultural events.

– Build your contacts and networking across the arts and cultural sector.

– Daily travel and lunch allowance covered by the organisation.

– Become an integral part of a small team.

– References can be given for volunteers who volunteer for 3 months or more.

Please note that fluency in English is a pre-requisite for the role. Volunteers must also be aged 18 and over and have the right to work in the UK.

Duration: Ideally 3 months, two days per week—10:00 – 5pm, starting date in mid-August  although we are flexible depending on your availability.
