The Arts and Learning Programme at Asia House is the not-for-profit division of the organisation’s activities. It is completely unique in the UK in presenting a pan-Asian artistic and cultural programme with a scope of more than 40 countries in the region. Through our programme of events on arts, culture and education we act as a catalyst for the discovery of the diverse arts and cultures of Asia and the Asian diaspora, and serve as a bridge of understanding between the UK and Asia.
Our mission is to inspire and attract new and diverse audiences to our dynamic programme of live events from exhibitions and panel discussions to music, literature, dance, performance, visual art, film and fashion.
We are committed to delivering artistic and learning outreach programmes of excellence to local communities in London and across the UK and promoting artistic exchange between Asia, Europe and Britain.
The Arts and Learning Programme partners with a number of cultural and educational institutions in the UK and Asia, and works closely with Embassies of Asia based in the UK.
The annual Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival is the signature festival at Asia House. The Festival and the year-round literature programmes were established with the aim of promoting the advancement of literacy and education as well as engaging audiences who are interested in Asian literature by bringing them together with both established authors and emerging talent who focus on Asia and its cultures in their writing.
